Merchandiser/ Buyer Retail
• Merchandise buying and development for retail stores. Delivering Sell through and margin results.
• Buyer for O'Neill footwear, sunglasses and headphones. Keep close contact to suppliers. Finalize price negotiations,
delivery terms and conditions.
• Assortment planning: Select and develop O'Neill products for own stores in Europe. Build seasonal assortment plans,
including visual plans, and distribution plans to optimize financial results. Select products with stores demographics and
country differences. Managing pricing strategy, ensuring sell through and margin results are met.
• Product development: : Pro-active role in product development of (outlet) collections. Have close contact with designers.
Give feedback and retail sell through information to product development teams. Make sure order deadlines are met.
• In-season management: Review weekly performance with team and discuss action plans; best sellers management,
additional purchases, visual merchandising plans, stock transfers. Identify out of stock situation and decide strategies for
non-moving products.
• Financial control: Give support on setting seasonal budgets. Monitor financial results compared to budget and determine
action. Consistently analyze and understand financial impact of actions.
• Market knowledge: Analyze market trends, country differences and fashion trends an implement conclusions in assortment-
plan.
